What will be the impact of the Human Genome Project on society? How can we effectively address our current energy crisis? How will we deal with emerging diseases and with those, like AIDS and cancer, that we already have but still have not cured? Should we continue to explore the universe to search for new worlds to inhabit and for extraterrestrial life? In this combined radio show and website project, we will explore and investigate issues from diverse perspectives that help us realize the degree to which science influences the big picture. The project is edited and produced by WABE, coordinated by the Program in Science & Society of the Emory College Faculty Science Council, and underwritten by that program. The radio show airs on WABE, 90.1 FM at 6:07 and 7:33:30 a.m. on Tuesday, at 9 a.m. on Saturday, at 9:04 a.m. and 5:04 p.m. on Sunday.
